Collection of Quranic Verses About Forgiveness
Every human being must have committed sins and mistakes, both intentional and unintentional. The best people are not those who have never sinned, but those who immediately repent to God when they realize that they have committed a sin. As the Prophet said, "Every child of Adam must sin, and the best people who sin are those who repent" (HR. Ibn Majah).

In Islamic terminology, repentance means the return of a person from disobedience to obedience to Allah. In a narration of the history of Ibn Abbas, Rasulullah SAW revealed that Allah was very pleased with his servant's repentance, more than the pleasure of someone who found water when he was in extreme thirst, or the joy of someone who was blessed with a child after a long period of infertility, or the pleasure of someone who lost Favorite item then find it. The picture that the Prophet brought in the hadith shows that Allah SWT loves His servants who repent.

Good repentance must be done seriously, in sharia terms it is called real repentance. If immorality is carried out only related to the rights of God, then repentance must meet three conditions; stop doing bad things, regret, and be determined not to do it again later. However, if immorality is carried out relating to the rights of fellow human beings, then there is an additional condition that must be fulfilled in addition to the three conditions, namely asking for willingness from the person concerned.

And never is it for a believer to kill a believer except by mistake. And whoever kills a believer by mistake - then the freeing of a believing slave and a compensation payment presented to the deceased's family [is required] unless they give [up their right as] charity.
